I grew up in Dallas, Texas and graduated from WT White High School in 1975.  I attended East Texas State University in Commerce Texas (Now Texas A&M at Commerce).  While in college, I served at my first church as Minister of Music & Youth at Nevada Baptist Church in northeast Collin County in 1978.  Following graduation from ETSU in 1979 with a bachelor’s degree in photography and a minor in marketing, I married the love of my life, Donna in 1981.  I owned a commercial and advertising photography studio from 1980 to 2006, all the while serving as bi-vocational worship leader at various north and east Texas churches. In 2006, I closed the studio and went into full-time music ministry. I served at First Baptist in Canton, Texas from 2013 to 2020, then began at The Worship Place in January 2020.  I am currently the audio officer of the Singing Men of Texas and have served as president and media officer as well as a soloist.  I count it a pure blessing to serve on staff at The Worship Place.
